St Peter's book sale

Quality used books, toys, homemade cakes, plus an impressive selection of jams and chutneys are once again on offer at the St Peter’s Church book sale in Carmarthen.

The book sale is now a regular and much-anticipated fixture in the Church calendar where everyone is welcome to pop in, browse the books, and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.

The November sale is shaping up to be one of the best yet with more good quality hardback titles than ever. Genres include general fiction, classics, thrillers, biographies, cookery, history, poetry as well as a good Welsh language and Children’s section.

All books are donated by the community, for the community and are a bargain at three paperbacks for £1. There will also be a raffle and refreshments.

St Peter’s Church Book Sale is on Wednesday 1st November from 11.15am-3pm. The sale then runs on Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th from 10am- 2pm. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome. All funds raised go to St Peter’s Church.

St Peter's Church has a history stretching back nearly a thousand years and houses many features of historic interest which include some of the finest wall memorials in Wales. It is the oldest building in continuous use in Carmarthen and provides a stunning backdrop for the book sale.
